It's still within the first 100 days of his presidency, and Obama has already delievered on the most important promise he made in his acceptance speech on November 4, 2008: a dog for the White House!  Well, a decision about the breed anyway; the actual dog won't be chosen until April.

And Portuguese Water Dogs in shelters across the nation line up, headshots in hand and monologues memorized, to audition for the role of "First Dog."
